My latest Zooniverse animation for LoopDeloop is posted. It was a tough one, I managed to do all of the work in two weeks so it's still a little rough (it took two weeks to get the idea).

Here is the link to my new Zooniverse animation.

Helen's animation is here. We worked on each others animations her music is on mine. This month was challenging but exhausting, but the satisfaction is in the completion, we made the deadline in spite of the intensely hot weather, YAY!

Please enjoy :)

Yeah let's hope we don't have another heatwave for the next loop like we did for the last 2 months. :(

Oh my gosh, this gave me the biggest grin. XD XD XD XD I love the way you made the guy's jaw move on some of his lines. :) Very smooth. :aww:

*reads other comments* Haha, I think you sound great! :XD: I mean I can hear the mic-quality and everything, but honestly I think your voice over is perfect.

Thanks for letting me know what you thought. Feed back really helps me improve the work, I did the whole thing in less than 2 weeks and with more time I would have added more background detail and animation.

I made myself hoarse doing that VO but it's the best edits out of 13 takes. I'm confident in so many artistic areas but acting isn't one of them lol However I'm free, so the price is right.

Haha, then I'll try and make my future comments on your animations just as in-depth. ;)

And there you go, that's a good point--you can't beat free VOs! :la:

This is a whole new direction for Zooniverse so I hope to improve it with every animation, so thanks for any impressions you give me. :D

Yeah and it sucks, I wish we had actors (I was trying for Jeremy Irons with an Australian accent). But we are free so we work with what we have on hand, such as it is. :/ Audio has been our biggest hurdle so far.

I think you just need a better microphone. The acting is fine, the sound just isn't crisp enough.

Yeah I'll look into a better mic, maybe set up a booth eventually (like we have the room). Adam Sandler had the best set up at his house with a vertical perspex recording box he could sit in and pick up lines. I'm aiming for that set up one day.

You don't really need a booth, just a closet that can hold a person and some heavy clothing to hang around you to soak up echoes. I've heard you can get decent sound with that sort of improvised set-up.

Oh yeah, we actually did a record once in a walk in closet in LA, the poor actor ended up all sweaty lmao.

That's an unfortunate side effect yeah :p but the sound worked right?
