Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Just uploaded today on Loop De Loop, the latest Zooniverse animation! This is the origin story folks! Many of the shots were traced off panels from the comic I did back in 1994 I'll detail more on the blog in a few days.

Thanks to Helen Maier for composing such an amazing soundtrack!

For our veiwers in Melbourne there are 2 screenings, one Thurs. 26th at a new venue 'the Wilde Bar' in 153 Gertrude St. and the end of month on Tues 31st at the 'Loop Bar' as usual, check the Loop De Loop site for details!

oh man those roiling clouds at the end are TOTALLY SWEET, especially given that they're made up of what looks like maybe three different drawn elements at most.

Thanks, it worked out okay, huh? I checked, the entire cloud was made from one large BG element and three smaller ones. They were all traced off a comic panel I did back in 1994, so that the animation would be accurate to the printed work. But seeing it move is way cooler!!

It worked out pretty amazing for four drawings! If I was still animating on a regular basis that trick would so be going in my mental toolbox. (Every time you post a LdL I'm always tempted to do one but oh god I have so many other things clamoring for my attention right now…)

I believe your animations have inspired me to go back to work on Flash projects. I burned out on Flash 3 years ago, absolutely hating tweening, but not having the time, energy, and income to do everything frame by frame. Looking at your work, it made me realize that tweens, if done right, will not detract from the quality of an independent production and should not be cast aside as something that only "lazy hacks" use.

Love the work that you do, and I hope you keep going strong!

Thank you for your support, it's thanks to you and other fans calling for published work that I came up with the Zoonimini format to bridge the gap until the collected edition is completed.

I'm half way through preparing the next Zoonimini which has a pre-Zooniverse comic that was printed in Australia in 1983.

Also Brandon Graham and I are working on a 5 page interview type thing for issue #27 of Prophet. If the Editors approve it, you'll see how I did comics back then.

So much wonderful stuff is in the works!
