Yay Deviant for 1 week, time to stop doing my paying work and upload more art!! >:O

I'm doing my best to visit and say hi to everyone who has been kind enough to comment, but I get so distracted, one link leads to something else amazing, hard... to ... focus.

I just want to thank you all for letting me know that all of the work that we did on these programs actually meant something to someone. We worked in complete isolation from any audience, and often before a show had begun airing, I at least, had moved on to designing an entirely new show concept.

Oh, dude! I remember reading about that briefly YEARS ago! That episode (the old Real Ghostbusters one) is hands down, one of my favourite cartoons of all time and the Extreme Ghostbusters one comes very close as well! That said, I LOVE design processes and seeing what could have been, so I'm very keen to hear the full story :)

Cheers, too, mate! It's all from you, man. Like I said, your work was a HUGE influence on me :)

Grundel appeared in both animated shows, the Real and Extreme, and I designed him for both. I was at DIC for the tail end of Real GB having freshly arrived from Oz for the 1st time at the tender age of 24 to begin working on the animated Alf series. Half my life ago now, time flies don't it?

Far out, dude. I didn't realise you were that young when you went over there. That's pretty amazing though! Are you still US based? I remember reading somewhere you were in Balwyn for a while, right near where I used to live (Mont Albert/Box Hill)!

Oh, wow! Are you still working from here in Australia? I actually still tram through there a couple of days a week! I must admit, the internet makes being an artist working for a US company very easy...!

Yeah it's been 20 years since I've lived in Melbourne there was no internet back then. It's made a huge difference.

Yes, cold tho! After 20 years away Australia's culturally a whole new country to me, so much has changed. My dreamscapes of Melbourne over the years have became my actual memories. It's kind of fun how my memories are so screwed up.

So much of your work has been seared into my mind and each time it's at a key point in my own development, and learning you were a fellow Aussie really inspired me further. Finding Tom on here, and then seeing your work suddenly pop up really has been nothing short of the coolest one-two punch of all time for me. Can't wait to see what else you post here -- loving the Roughnecks designs, mate!

Keep up the great art, I'll dig up the Grundel design soon, a great story behind that one :)
