Here is Samhain from the main title of Extreme Ghostbusters. The sketches on the left are the same conceptual designs by Everett Peck that were used for Real Ghostbusters series.

Executive Producer Richard Raynis, liked Everett's whimsical design sense and hand picked the ghosts for the intro and the outro (some of you may recognize the lower left sketch appearing at the end of the show).

I wanted to faithfully reproduce the same image, having no knowledge about it's link to Samhain. I'd never seen a Real Ghostbusters episode because the show didn't air in Australia. No one else picked up on it either, to me it was just a pumpkin headed ghost, which is why I labeled it "Pumpkin Head".

My pencils (lower right) were inked by Helen Maier

I often wondered if he was supposed to be in an ep somewhere, shame, the RG ep 'When Halloween Was Forever' I rather thought it was one of the best and Samhain a good villain ghost, though I often chuckled to myself whenever I heard his name being pronounced Samhain instead of Sowin

It a problem caused by letters becoming defunct... replacements are never any use!

Oh my this is very cool. I had never seen the Everett peck Samhain drawings. I was always dissapointed that they never put him into the show. Great seeing your work.

Thank you. One of Everett's Samhain designs was used at the end credits of each episode of XGB. So he was there.... in spirit! >;D

Did you know this design was also used for a action figure?

Whoops, looks like my memory faded in the ten years since I saw it. A websearch tells me the original design was used. Wonder why they used the RGB design for a EGB toyline.

I have no idea, marketing was a whole other department, in another building on the lot. They often put toys out long after we were off the shows. I never saw any of the toys.
