Godzilla Ep103: Nanotech Creature 01

Our third Godzilla episode featured one of the most difficult monsters to design because it changed it's appearance from shot to shot. I asked the episode's Director Tim Eldred to visually summarize what he needed in as few designs as possible. I ended up supplying NINE different creature designs based off the storyboards, but Tim requested more, I appreciated his organizational skills but I was running out of time, and the designs were becoming increasingly complex taking longer to draw. I had to put my foot down and move on to the next show, so the hydroplaning version ended up being done by someone else, or taken directly from Tim's sketches. It turned out pretty well.

Amorphous creatures are just a headache and it's still a pain, I've recently scanned all of my designs, and have begun coloring two other versions, and simply got bored figuring out the stripes. So I figured I might as well show you this and move onto the next creature.
