Hi! I absolutely love your designs and contributions to so many amazing cartoons! :) (Godzilla The Series is my life) Out of curiosity, do you do commissions? Either way, love your work, and have a wonderful day!

I only recently was made aware that you were involved in the distinctive style of a lot of my favorite creatures for various cartoons. So I want to thank you for all the great times and inspirations.

What was it like working with Jay Stephens? Opinions on other DK shows (e.g. Kenny the Shark, Creepie, Time Warp and Future is Wild)? And how come the cast are credited weirdly?

I never met Jay, I've never talked to him, but he uses my design as his own without any mention of me. Nice huh?

Kenny the Shark
wasn't my cup of tea. The rest of the shows didn't do much for me, although The Future is Wild was an interesting concept and it looked nice, I just wish the creatures were more interestingly designed. The Future is Wild animation carried over future projection logic that I felt was flawed in the original CG series. To me, the original series was just stealing ideas from Wayne Barlowe's Expedition (no relation), which also had flawed logic in the creature design (but that never stops me appreciating his work).

I'm not sure what you mean about the cast credits, can you clarify?

imgur.com/mOou5Jq - Episode 1 credits. There are NO such people with these names. Google Search them and all are you gonna see are sites for Tutenstein DVD releases.
imgur.com/FXoUrBE - Wikipedia credits them right. I know it's true because Tut sounds exactly like Carl Foutley in S1 (both voiced by Jeannie Elias) and Cleo sounded exactly like Tamaika Jones from Class of 3000 in the series (both voiced by Crystal Scales).

I even spoke with Eddie Garvar (Aardvark on Pink Panther and Pals) whose animation voiceover demo contained a snippet of Set wanting the scepter of Was and the hot dog vendor that says "Theres no goose in my hot dogs. Maybe some rat hair or floor sweepings but no goose". He told me "Good ears!" and that his VO trainer, who he worked for years, who is Jeannie Elias aka S1 Tut gave him snippets of the scripts from the show to make his demo.

However on the Pharaohs movie, the names are credited right, even though Tut and Cleo were recasted. Why is that?

I think i found an SAG article on Tutenstein but I may have to look sure.

Since you worked on the show, I'd figure you may have some knowledge of it since you worked with Porchlight and Discovery Communications.

I am so sorry, but I can't help you. I was never involved with the actors, the recording sessions. I don't even know who was responsible for that area. My duties, for the time that I was contracted, only covered the visual design. You seem to be uncovering some interesting discrepancies. To put it kindly Porchlight, from my experience, was a dodgy outfit. They treated me awfully and I will never work with them again. MediaVision weren't much better. Good luck with your sleuthing!

Hi Mr. Barlow, your work on both Tutenstein and Extreme Ghostbusters influenced me a lot as a kid. And very recently I found out that you were an Australian (technically I'm not 100% Aussie, I've just been living here for 11 years, hahahah), small world huh? Achira, that weird plant monster and the spirit/ghost that fed on radiation were some of my favourite ones in EG, these are the ones I can remember.

As far as I'm concerned, home is where you are. I'm glad that the shows inspired you to draw, keep up the good work!
